[News]Baby Shaman on "Star King," Predicted Bae Yong Joon's Fortune and Reads Solo Artist "A"s Scandal

source: suehan's blog
bnt news 2011-01-07 11:25

When MC Mong was on "Star King" in 2008, the Baby Shaman read the case of him corrupting his military applications. And reading other predictions of more famous entertainers is what made the Baby Shaman's talent a big topic.

On SBS Plus, produced by Seon Ooh Suhn, Miss Soh Bin studied the physiognomy of the top entertainers and sports stars and clearly predicted their fates among the grave ones and the positive ones as well.

Soh Bin especially pointed at Bae Yong Joon who came back to the drama "Dream High" and predicted that he would be very prosperous. Some people who are in the entertainment industry heard this news and commented that Soh Bin's prediction might mean the success of "Dream High," which Bae Yong Joon produces. They quickly made these assumptions.

Another is for a solo singer Miss "A," who is famous in Korea and internationally. (suehan: Calling the singer "Miss A" is a way to keep the singer's name private in Korean writing) The shaman predicted that they might be involved in small and big scandals in a few years. And she also predicted that Miss "A" may have bad luck with ending relationships with someone, which will result in her having a headache in a few years due to personal relationship issues with a man.

Since MC Mong's incident, there are many people who are coming to her and she has become very busy. Fortunes of famous, Korean entertainers that Soh Bin will reveal is going to air January 9th and 10:10PM on SBS Plus.

Article says that in the next episode, Kim Soo Hyun (plays as Sam Dong) will change remarkably. Sam Dong follows Hyemi (Suzy) to Seoul and visits her. But the first thing she did was to take him to the beauty salon instead of greeting him.

There pictures were taken by Eunjung’s manager and coordinator. They took these photos during the break time of “Dream High” shooting at the car and restaurant. She must be very, very tired.

[News] “Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young”s influence!

source: suehan's blog
Sports Hankook 2011-01-06 06:06

Commercials of the 1st and 2nd episode of “Dream High” were completely sold out. Copyright inquiries pour in from overseas.

Meeting between “Yonsama” Bae Yong Joon, the idol groups of 2PM, and Miss A created a big synergy effect.

All the commercials of the 1st and 2nd episode of KBS’s Mon-Tue Mini Series “Dream High” (writer Park Hyu Ryon, Director Lee Eung Bok) were completely sold out. According to the interview with Sports Hankook on the 5th, someone associated with KBS stated, “The commercials of the beginning parts of “Dream High” were completely sold out. We expect the commercials of 3rd and 4th episodes will also be sold out since the drama is getting lots of attentions.”

The selling out of all “Dream High” commercials reflects the expectation for brilliant casts. Before the airing of “Dream High”, previous KBS’s Mon-Tue Mini Series recorded about 7%, low viewing rate. Moreover, it wasn’t an attractive time period for the commercial industry because MBC’s “Queen of Reversals” and SBS’s “Athena; Godness of War” were competing at the same time.

Meeting between Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young, and the expectation of the idol stars moved the advertising market. “Dream High” sold out all the commercials of the 1st and 2nd episode and performed its duty very well just like a devoted son. Since “Dream High” raised its viewing rate doubling figures in the first week of airing, it could be possible selling out all the commercials.

Someone related to the production of “Dream High” stated, “We’re getting lots of inquiries from overseas. We will respond to the viewers’ expectations with solid storylines and fine pictures.

[News]Kim Hyun Joong’s documentary series will probably be following Bae Yong Joon’s documentary?

source: suehan's blog
[2011-01-05 16:46:10]

[Newsen Reporter Park Cheong Hyun]

Bae Yong Joon’s documentary is a service for the Hallyu fans.

On January 5th, Bae Yong Joon’s documentary, which became a hot topic, was presented for the first time at the press conference of MBC LIFE’s “Bae Yong Joon’s travel documentary – A Journey in Search of Korea’s Beauty”. This documentary was produced with a total of 8 episodes and is based on the travel book Bae Yong Joon wrote which has the same title. They say that it follows the Bae Yong Joon’s traces.

Someone associated with Keyeast said, “After Bae Yong Joon’s travel book was released, we’ve gotten numerous requests from overseas fans desiring detailed explanation. In the past, Hallyu fans’ journey in Korea was limited to some famous tourists spots. We made this documentary as a service to the fans.”

In this documentary, they kindly worked on the images for the tourists with the Korean culture. He said that they planned to expand if they get good responses. The other associate said, “It will be beautiful if someone like Kim Hyun Joong also introduces Korea. We would like to produce it if the opportunity is given.”

This documentary will be a supplementary material for the travel book that Bae Yong Joon released in 2009. Those of which weren’t included in the book were added and it became a documentary which will help fans and tourists follow Bae Yong Joon’s steps. This is a big expansion of service area for Hallyu and his fans.

The time is past for just watching the Hallyu. Hallyu fans show their interests in Korea. It seems that a book or production of a documentary will satisfy their demands and become another Hallyu method in the future. This might be the reason that Hallyu star’s documentary series can be continued.

“A Journey in Search of Korean’s Beauty” is programmed as a Life special which is MBC LIFE’s new year special program. For 8 weeks starting on January 8th, they will deliver memoirs that Bae Yong Joon experienced while traveling from coast to coast in Korea, from Gangwon, Gyeongsang, Choongcheong, Jeolla, Gyeonggi, to Seoul. The viewers will vividly see them every Saturday at 11:00 pm.

I heard that the contracts have already been completed thanks to Yonsama. It seems that Yonsama will be appearing at least five minutes in each episode.

Mydaily 2011-01-05 07:44

[Mydaily = Reporter Keum Ara] Viewing rate of “Dream High” improved a little.

On the 5th, according to the viewing rate research agency, AGB Nielsen Media Research, the viewing rate of “Dream High”, aired on the night of the 4th, was 10.8% (in the non-metropolitan area). Compared to the first episode’s rate, 10.7%, 0.1% went up..

Only 0.1% difference compared to the day before even though the rate went up.

On that day’s airing, Park Jin Young, IU, and Kim Soo Hyun appeared for the first time. Park Jin Young’s acted scene was scratching his hip in front of Jeong Ha Myung (Bae Yong Joon) who came to offer him a position as an English teacher in the drama. IU also appeared for the first time with the so called, ugly look. Kim Soo Hyun played the role of a rural student and his acting was impressive.

On the other hand, MBC’s “Queen of Reversals” recorded 15.6%, and “Athena; Godness of War” recorded 16.7% which aired at the same time.

[Newsen Reporter Lee Jae Hwan]

"Yonsama” Bae Yong Joon met his Korean fans through “Dream High” after 3 years.

Bae Yong Joon plays the role of the chairman of Kirin Art School’s board in KBS 2TV’s new Mon-Tue drama “Dream High” which started airing on January 3rd at 9:55 pm. He showed a charismatic performance.

His appearance amounts almost the same as those of main casts on that day even though he was arranged to appear as a guest star. Bae Yong Joon returned to TV after 3 years since MBC’s drama “TWSSG” which ended in 2007.

Regarding Bae Yong Joon’s appearance, CEO Yang Geun Hwan of Keyeast stated, “Bae Yong Joon will be appearing quite a bit until the 5th – 6th episode. [News] “Dream High” attracts a divided response after first airing

by VITALSIGN @ allkpop on January 3, 2011 at 10:42 pm

KBS 2TV’s “Dream High” finally aired its pilot episode today, but seems to be off to a rocky start with several controversies stemming from just the pilot airing alone.

The episode managed to record 10.7% in viewer ratings, lagging behind SBS’s “Athena: Goddess of War” and MBC’s “Queen of Reversals,” both of which recorded 16.3% and 14.2% respectively.

Prior to the pilot’s airing, viewers were highly concerned over the all idol cast line-up, since half of them don’t have prior acting experience. Opinions on the drama remain divided, and at the center of the controversy stands miss A’s Suzy, who plays the role of ‘Hyemi.’

Since she is the leading role for the drama, viewers were left disappointed with her poor acting skills and criticized her for speaking as if she was reading out of a book. 2PM’s Wooyoung, who plays the role of ‘Jason,’ was also criticized for his awkward facial expressions despite only having to say a handful of lines.

Viewers commented, “It was to the point where I couldn’t even continue watching,” “She’s the queen of horrible acting,” “In her group, Suzy is in charge of the visual, and it seems like she’s trying to raise viewer ratings with her face again,” and “They’re not even ready to be standing in front of the screen.”

In comparison, T-ara’s Eunjung and 2PM’s Taecyeon both received high remarks, as they both have acting experience from “Coffee House” and “Cinderella’s Sister” respectively.

It was also IU’s first acting debut, but she fortunately managed to dodge criticisms as she only appeared wearing an animal suit for the majority of her part.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Suzy’s acting, Eunjung spoke with Star News on January 4th and commented, “Suzy’s doing well despite it being her first time acting. I have a lot of lines with her so I pay close attention to her acting. She’s confidently trying to do her best. It’s inevitable for her to feel nervous, and although strict criticisms are needed, please continue to watch over her.”
