Sold at a record-high price in Japan.
KBS 2TV's Mon-Tues Mini Series, "Dream High," was exported to Japan with a higher price than "Chuno." On the 10th, overseas marketing manager of KBS Media, Lee Hyo Young (responsible for the exporting "Dream High") said, "Broadcasting rights of 'Dream High' have been sold to Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, and Cambodia including Japan."
Manager Lee stated, "Its export price for Japan was higher than that of "Chuno," which gained popularity last year. Its merchantable quality increased because the viewers can enjoy K-Pop along with the drama at the same time." Even without Hallyu stars, it seems that there is a large amount of interest in Ok Taecyeon and Bae Suzy of 2PM and Miss A.
Looking at the process of exporting "Dream High," the power of K-Pop can be confirmed, and Ok Taecyeon and Bae Suzy's potentials of becoming Hallyu stars can be recognized. It also has been known that the export of "Dream High" to Thailand, Philippine, and Malaysia is in the final stages of the deals.
