[Trans] Mobile Site Calendar 2011 Special Contents, “The staff released the filming sites report!!”

Translated into Korean: yume3 (byjfan)

☆ The filming sites report in Hawaii ☆

I finally arrived!
My heart is filled with expectation and tension.
I lay down on the bed after the final check-ups for the filming until late at night.
As expected, I didn’t sleep well.
Because I kept reminding myself that I should wake up early tomorrow. (I’m sleepy now..)

From early in the morning, I made all the staffs prepare for the filming because the early morning is a good time for filming, so we could start the filming at 8.40 am.
Everyone looks happy even though they’re tired. It might be because of the fresh air in Hawaii.
Hawaii is great even if we came here for work!!!

We started the filming with the concept that he strolled downtown leisurely in a casual suit.
The filming progressed smoothly at various places in Hawaii.
Tiredness from yesterday’s lack of sleep due to worries has disappeared.
The filming continued pleasantly all the way. (I’m relieved for now♪)

The shooting at the pool side, which is the last concept, has approached quickly.
He is so innocent and we could shoot his mischievous looks at the pool side. (Please refer to the calendar!)
All staff got wet, but we could finish the filming without any troubles (?).
The fresh breeze in the afternoon blew away our tiredness and the hot weather.

But the tension was loosed only for a moment.
I hope the pictures come out well.

Right after the filming, I started to get concerned about the next work.
I’d better pack first and then think of it.
No, I should fully enjoy Hawaii.

Korean girl group T-ara member Eunjung has been cast as one of the female leads in KBS’ musical mini-series “Dream High,” a co-production between Korea’s top entertainment firms KEYEAST and JYP Entertainment.

A press release from the show’s promoter announced Friday that Eunjung will take on the role of Yoon Baek-hee, rival to miss A Suzy’s character Goo Hae-mi, who shows a complete transformation after entering the performing arts school.

“At first my character tries to follow everything that Hae-mi does but people will be surprised in the transformation that Baek-hee goes through,” Eunjung was quoted as saying.

Since early November, the cast for the musical series have been revealed — Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun, 2PM member Taecyeon are set to play the male leads and 2PM member Wooyoung and miss A’s Suzy were recently cast as well.

“Dream High,” about the dreams of students who attend a performing arts school with the storyline set to be relayed through song and dance, will air every Monday and Tuesday nights starting January next year.

The 16-part mini-series will feature the musical arrangements by founder and CEO of JYPE, Park Jin-young and the planning and production done by KEYEAST’s major shareholder, Bae Yong-joon.

Eunjung made her debut as a child actor in the early 1990s and has shown off her acting skills in the recent SBS drama “Coffee House” alongside Kang Ji-hwan.

She is also a member of the seven-member girl group T-ara who made their debut in July 2009 with their singles “Lie” and “Wanna Play.” They have several other hit songs under their belt including “Bo Peep Bo Peep” and “I Go Crazy Because of You.”

Korean idols The Boss will take to the stage of a philanthropic project in Japan next month alongside Hallyu stars Bae Yong-joon and Kim Hyun-joong.

Open-World Entertainment announced in a press release Thursday that the boys are scheduled to be the opening act for the first series of the “Miso Project” titled “Message! to Asia,” aimed at helping the future of children in Asia, which will be held at the Tokyo Dome on December 14.

The event, set up by Japan’s Digital Adventure TV (DATV), will also feature local singer Hwanhee and international stars such as Japanese singer GACKT and Vanness Wu.

The “Miso Project” is a contribution-based philanthropy project which will help non-profit organization KnK (Kokkyo naki Kodomotachi) donate proceeds from the event to underprivileged children in Cambodia and the Philippines.

“The members of The Boss have always shown a keen interest in charity work and have continuously thought of ways to help the needy children of the world,” an official from Open-World was quoted as saying.

Composed of members Hyun-min, Injun, Jay, Karam and Mika, The Boss (The Boys of Super Space) made their debut in March this year with their single album “The Admirer” and released their second album “Awake” three months later.

The group recently signed with Japan’s Sony Music Record to release their Japanese debut album to launch their official singing career in the country.

“Message to Asia” will be broadcast in the country January 10 next year.

[Trans] Very nice and pleasant tweets with CEO Shin.

source: suehan's blog
This is the translation of the tweets between Kim Hyun Joon’s fan and CEO Shin of Keyeast on Nov 15, 2010. A while ago, the member of byjintoronto asked him about YJ’s regards, and he responded in short, “He’s doing fine.”.

(fans’ tweets)

@philshin76 Hello, CEO. I’m Kim Hyun Joon’s fan. .^^; I have a question for you. Would it be okay to answer my question? Why is Kim Hyun Joong’s manager changed so often? ^^;; KHJ is a bit shy of strangers, so he might want to work with one person for a long time.

@philshin76 Did we make their work difficult? Sometimes, we get excited because we have been KHJ’s fan since he was in the band. We have confidence that we control ourselves compared to other idols’ fans. But we are getting worried because his managers quit work.

@philshin76 And I heard that his new manager refrain us from giving letters. We, Hyun Joong’s fans do not approach or touch him. We just want to give him the letters. Rather, the average people approach him because they are fascinated to see him. Anyway, I’m just curious..;;

@philshin76 And we, the fans are happy to hear the news of the Olympic matter. I heard that the filming for the Youtube Channel is almost done. You worked so hard and I appreciate your preparation of the last event. (__)

(CEO’s responses)

@sje1103 Hello. Thank you for loving Hyun Joong. I have some difficulties explaining about the substitution of his managers’. I hope you understand. Hyun Joong and we all want to keep the right manager for a long time. Please understand this is the adjusting process.

@sje1103 Regarding the letters, managers sometimes restrict him from receiving them. But it depends on the situation. Some fans come to give the letter only, but his managers are unable to know their intention. We’re just doing it for Hyun Joong’s safety. We understand your heart fully. Please don’t be sad because they’re doing it for Hyun Joong’s safety.

@sje1103 Hyun Joong’s love towards his fans is different from the others. So he worked hard to prepare the event even though he was very tired from the filming. I appreciate those who understand his thoughtfulness. Please love Hyun Joong a lot and we’ll also work harder. Please be happy!

(fan’s tweet)

@philshin76 Thank you for your earnest responses. ^^ I am always grateful to Keyeast. Have a nice day. ~^^

The golf book which contains his swing posture will be exported to Japan for the first time.

Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon’s popularity makes the export of the golf book to Japan possible.

The golf textbook, “Magic Swing”, will be translated into Japanese and published in Japan around the end of this year. It contains seven pictures of Bae Yong Joon playing golf out on the field.

Bae Yong Joon’s golf skill is well-known in the entertainment industry. According to someone who watched him play golf, BYJ has almost the same golf skill as professional players do. The reason that he is releasing his private pictures is due to the relationship with the pro Lee Byung Yong, who wrote “Magic Swing”. The pro Lee Byung Yong has been teaching Bae Yong Joon for 8 years and he is well-known as Bae Yong Joon’s golf teacher in Korea and even in Japan.

His agency, Keyeast said, “BYJ helped him because of their private relationship. He didn’t disclose any information about his golf skills because golfing is his private hobby. The release of his golf swing pictures will be a first for him.”

“Magic Swing” was released October 30th, and the first 3,000 copies have already been sold out. It has been confirmed that some Japanese readers, who got the information by word of mouth, bought them. Someone from the publishing company commented on the responses of the Japanese fans by saying, “We admit that we see good results originating from BYJ’s pictures. ‘Magic Swing’, which is translated into Japanese, is the first Korean golf book to be exported to Japan.”

[News]Bae Yong Joon, Kang Dong Won, Ko Soo, and Kwon Sang Woo were hit by the bullet of the G20 Seoul Summit.

source: suehan's blog

Ilgan Sports, 2010.11.03 10:04

Some top stars are going through unexpected dilemmas because of the G20 Seoul Summit, which is getting a lot of attention from the world.

G20 Seoul Summit will be held at KOEX in Sameong-dong, Seoul from the 11th to 12th. The security perimeters were set at a 2.2km radius from the conference hall for security reasons. But that means the entertainers who live or work around these zones will have trouble commuting.

Bae Yong Joon's house, which is near Tancheon, and his agent Keyeast both belong within the security zones. He has to undergo an identification check in order to commute to and from his home and office.

The passes were given to Keaest employees in order to access their office. A Keyeast staff said, "The inspection started on the street and it is an inconvenience for us. But we feel relief from the fans' eyes after being watched for a long time by many Japanese fans, who visit Yong Joon's house and office, who have now disappeared.

[News] Taecyeon becomes the prodigy dancer for new drama, “Dream High”

2PM’s Taecyeon has been confirmed for the drama “Dream High“, and both fans as well as casual viewers from “Cinderella’s Sister” are demonstrating high enthusiasm for the choice.
Taecyeon will play the role of ‘Jin Gook‘, a prodigy in dancing yet a scoundrel in school. Although Jin Gook grew up rebelling against all school-related activities, Director Lee of ‘Kin Rin (Giraffe) Prep School’ encouraged his enrolment in the school. The rebel finds his hidden talent as a dancer in the artistic school, and dreams of becoming a world star. He’s also involved in a love story with ‘Hyemi’ (actress undisclosed), a bold and proud singer who deems herself as the second Jo Sumi, a Grammy-winning soprano.
Taecyeon’s acting in “Cinderella’s Sister” was praised far and wide for successfully portraying a man with an unrequited, yet unfaltering love. In this new work, he will showcase a similar devotion, but to dancing and demonstrating an adolescent’s hope.
Reportedly, Taecyeon and actor Kim Soo Hyun (SBS “Giant“) assisted each other with improving their performing and acting skills: Kim Soo Hyun adopted Taecyeon’s stage manners and performance, while Taecyeon received guidance on acting from Kim Soo Hyun. Kim Soo Hyun has been slotted to play ‘Song Sam Dong’, a rural dancer who’s as equally talented as Jin Gook.
Taecyeon stated, “I’m very excited at this new project. I’m especially happy that the drama is music-based and there are amazing seniors to guide me. I’ll give everything of myself to create a spectacular work”.

[News]Entertainment firms are “hot” due to “the shift in generations” of Hallyu fever in Japan.

source: suehan's blog
Money Today, 2010-11-01 07:16

[Money Today, Reporter Kim Geon Woo]

Hallyu fever in Japan, which made generational changes, makes the entertainment firms in Kosdaq (Korea Securities Dealers Automated Quotation) hot. The base of Hallyu’s consumers has expanded to teenagers and people in their twenties as a result of environmental changes of the media. The teenagers and those in their twenties are considered as the new power in the growing Hallyu fever.

“The original Hallyu” Bae Yong Joon is a major shareholder of Keyeast. The expectations towards Keyeast from active workers, Bae Yong Joon and Kim Hyun Joong, are reflected in the market. Recently, the stock price of Keyeast increased to 34% in 11 business days continuously rising from about 2,700 won to about 3,700 won,

In November, Bae Yong Joon plans to hold the press conference for the documentary of “The Journey to Discover the Beauty of Korea,” his travel essay, and will participate in the DATV charity project with Kim Hyun Joong in December.

Kim Hyun Joong’s drama, “Mischievous Kiss” of MBC, was pre-sold to 12 countries including Japan. He is considered the Hallyu star of the next generation. Currently, “Mischievous Kiss” is in production of the 7, 10 minute episodes for the Youtube Channel.

Keyeast’s subsidiary company, Digital Adventure owns cable TV, DATV, and the companies that are intrinsic in Hallyu Fever. DATV must meet a quota of 15,000 members, their break-even point, but luckily they are running smoothly with 20,000 current members.

Industry officials said, “Hallyu’s demography, consists of females in their forties – fifties and has expanded to teenagers and people in their twenties. It’s said that Hallyu was regarded as a temporary bubble, but is now recognized for its high-class content. This shift is a direct result of the idol stars and its competitive plans.”
