With less than three months until the start of the new year calendars are gaining popularity, but which ones are the best-sellers?

The best-selling* calendars on Amazon according to the regional websites are:

Amazon.com – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Movie 16 Month Wall Calendar 2011 (12×12)($7.74/€5.48)

In the United States the best-selling calendar is themed around the third movie in the series based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular Twilight series of books. The movie Twilight Eclipse was released on June 30.

Amazon.co.uk -KTWO 2011 Family Calendar (£9.75/€11.10)

In the United Kingdom the KTWO calendar from the KTWO group, which offers pockets and features for organizing birthdays, is proving popular. As well as calendars the KTWO company also manufactures organizers, wedding planners and travel journals.

Amazon.co.jp – Bae Yong Joon Calendar 2011 (4,200 Yen/€36.66)

A calendar featuring South Korean actor Bae Yong Joon is the best-selling item of its kind on amazon.co.jp. The actor, known as Yon-sama to his Japanese fans, is best known for appearing in a number of television dramas such as The Story of the First King’s Four Gods.

Amazon.fr- Johnny Hallyday- Calendrier 2011 (€12.90)

A calendar featuring French singer Johnny Hallyday is currently topping the best-selling list on amazon.fr. Hallyday, who has been nicknamed “the French Elvis” is famous for songs such as “Que je t’aime” and “Noir c’est noir,” the singer is also infamous for several episodes in hospital.

Amazon.de – Der literarische Katzenkalender 2011: Zweifarbiger Wochenkalender (€15.95)

Der literarische Katzenkalender 2011: Zweifarbiger Wochenkalender roughly translates as “The literary cat calendar 2011: two-tone weekly calendar,” which features, as one might expect, cats. The cats are seen in a variety of settings and accompanying each photo is a quote.
